This is an absolutely pristine example of a true classic vintage timepiece, maybe a romantic piece!
It is a vintage Ernest Borel automatic “Cocktail” wristwatch, dated from the 1960's.
It is self-winding watch powered by an Ernerst Borel automatic movement caliber ETA 2451, sweep second, 25 jewels, Swiss made.
The most incredible feature is the mystery rotating kaleidoscope dial, that is sure to mesmerize all who gaze upon it. It still has the original and stunning black dial with gold hour markers and very unique red arrow hands. It is cased in a 33.4mm round case with unique fancy lug design, stainless steel back.
We are offering this watch with two different straps. The first one, matching perfect with the dial and hands, a red color vintage leather two-piece strap signed “Bio Confort” made in France. The second strap, a classic vintage black Genuine Leather two-piece strap.
It may as well have been transported from a time machine. Keeps time extremely well, and the kaleidoscope disk functions flawlessly. Is quite mesmerizing to behold. Truly would be a wonderful addition to any collection.

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men’s watches typically measure between 29-36mm wide (some larger, some smaller) excluding the crown. We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust lighting when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.
The condition is pre-owned.
The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear but is fully operational and functions as intended.
