The original bracelet would have had links that were completely hollow. This bracelet, which is only one style previous to the ones being made by Rolex today, is much heavier and fully solid including the sides of the links. This bracelet is worth over $1000 more just wholesale than the original and likely has about that much more value in gold alone than the original one would have had.
